Age with Grace

With age comes wisdom and grace. As we grow older, we aspire to have vitality and strength in body and mind. With grace comes a love for life and the desire to share our wisdom and experiences to engage fully around us. In this workshop, we will learn how to cultivate and support a mental calmness, composure, and equanimity within our bodies and minds, tend to our emotional health, while we increase our vigor and resilience in our body that propels and steadies us in our lives. We’ll explore the following:

·      Emotional resilience for physical well-being

·      Movement for improved mobility and to slow the aging process

·      Deep attention towards your body to support your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health

·      Cognitive health through yoga and learning

·      Curiosity to maintain brain health

·      Curate a sense of wonder and newness everyday

·      Engage with others who are also aging gracefully

Aging isn’t a choice, but how we age is. Yoga gives us tools for keeping our bodies active, our minds open and stimulated, and our hearts at ease. Come join us for this special workshop led by yoga therapist, Barb Gibson, and leave feeling uplifted, supported, and invigorated to age with grace and continue your path of creating your best life every day.

Mindful Menopause: Freedom and Invigoration in Mid-Life

Mindful Menopause: Freedom and Invigoration in Mid-Life

Rather than seeing menopause just as the end of fertility and the start of aging, we can look at it as both a life transition and potentially transformative experience. Given our modern health care and longer life spans, women can anticipate spending close to one-third of their lives in a post-reproductive state, and we can use this time for personal development, healing, and creative living. Instead of saying this is the “change of life”, perhaps we switch the paradigm and say, “the change in life” as we transition both our inner and outer experiences for physical, emotional, and spiritual health now and beyond.

Join us for a special workshop devoted to celebrating our change in life as we use mindful movement, breathwork, and meditation to help you set out on the next journey of exploration and discovery in your life. In this workshop we’ll focus on:

  • Changing the narrative of menopause from taboo to open and inspirational

  • Mindful movement to help you build resilient and strong bones

  • Mindful movement for improved physical grace and strength

  • Poses to help with adrenal functioning and hot flashes

  • Simple breathwork to help you with stress, improve your sleep, and tap into your “happiness chemical”

  • Perspective check-in to inquire what you want in life to create the freedom for life starting now

  • Meditation to tap into your emotional and spiritual wishes to help you launch into this next journey

  • Adaptations targeting your individual experience and goals

All women are welcome whether you are in perimenopause, menopause, or just curious of ways you can best serve your body in mid-life and beyond. We hope to celebrate and encourage each other in this special time of life. If you have questions or are wondering whether this workshop is right for you, contact me

Join us for our workshop led by yoga therapist Barb Gibson, C-IAYT, MS that focuses on the yogic perspective of this time of year where you will learn the following:

  • Importance of both darkness and the light that comes out of this state

  • A mindful movement practice that promotes energy and increases your confidence to achieve your goals

  • How to utilize yogic breath techniques that uplift your spirits and physical system

  • How to reconnect to those things that bring you light and happiness
